The Iloilo City Local Economic Enterprise Office (LEEO) has surpassed its revenue projections for markets and slaughterhouse by an impressive amount of P305,000. Despite the challenges posed by the construction activities, the LEEO has managed to collect a significantly higher sum than anticipated.

“Thank you to the LEEO for performance. The collection for the month of June is P6,971,994 – target is P6.6 million. Congratulations!” stressed Mayor Jerry P. Treñas.

Total collections also increased by P4-million to P45-million from January to June this year compared to P41-million during the same period last year.

The process of rehabilitation is currently underway for all district markets in Iloilo City, encompassing the Iloilo Central and Terminal Markets located in the City Proper, the Jaro Big Market, Arevalo Market, La Paz Market, and Mandurriao Market. These markets are undergoing extensive renovation and improvement efforts to enhance their overall functionality and aesthetics. The implementation of rehabilitation measures is being carried out across all these market locations to revitalize and upgrade the infrastructure and facilities to better serve the needs of the local community.

Temporary stalls set up nearby have been provided to vendors to continue economic activities.
