MORE Power Company, the sole distribution utility in Iloilo City recognized its employees for their stellar performance as they achieve their 5-year developmental plans in Iloilo City.
As they celebrate their anniversary this month, the power company gathered their employees for a night of giving importance to their tireless dedication at work.
“Your batch has endured and has stayed with the company not because you just want work but because you believe in the company, you believe in the mission that’s why you’ve stayed. I would like to sincerely congratulate the service awardees tonight that you make up almost half of our workforce,” says the ecstatic Mr. Castro during his speech.
Working in the power industry is not an easy task especially in Iloilo City, where they have to completely overhaul some of the facilities from the substation, the electric poles, lines and meter until the power reaches the houses of their consumers.
“I know that our work is not easy. Ulan, init umaga, gabi, overtime may mga problema may trials but you’re still…. Again personally, I really congratulate all of you,” Castro added.
One of the biggest contribution of MORE Power is its Underground Distribution System which made waves not just in Iloilo City but across the nation as well.
Aside from this, the DU was able to eradicate the illegal connection, fast tract the application of new consumers, and provide 24/7 assistance.
Despite the modernization, MORE Power remains to have one of the lowest power rate in Western Visayas.
“We give the consumers the best service and for me, dalawa lang iyon. One is we give them reliable, walang outages, mura na kuryente and we treat them as our best client that we could have,” Castro added.
With the continued expansion of the power company in Iloilo City and Negros, Castro is positive that the company will just continue to improve its performance and provide exceptional service at a reasonable cost.
This will only be achieved through the dedication of its employees, marking MORE Power’s legacy not just in the energy sector but also giving a huge contribution in the economy of Iloilo.
