Planning my Everyday Value Meals Food using GrabFood App

Working on my startup digital marketing company, Identity Branding and Marketing By Nile On Weekends, my day would start at lunch and end around midnight. (No judgment please. 🙂 ) As such, I have no time to prepare my lunch for the day. Brunch it is, to be specific. Lately, I discovered how to plan my lunch for the week using GrabFood newest food cluster at Starts at P99.

With GrabFood Everyday Value Meals – starting at 99 pesos, we have affordable food options to eat. This is perfect for everyone working at home or office who is looking for affordable lunch ideas or snacks in a day. On top of the clustered options, we can also enjoy promos every day in the GrabFood app.

By doing these four easy steps, you will have delicious and affordable lunch for the day – CLICK, SEARCH, ORDER, and EAT.

  • Click the Starts at P99 in the GrabFood app.
  • Search for the food that you crave.
  • Order and wait.
  • Eat as soon as the food arrives.

Enough with that. Let me tell you how I planned my brunch for the week. I assumed that I can enjoy my brunch for 99 pesos so I will have snacks as well in case I might get hungry. With that in mind, I budgeted my meals at 200 daily for a week (5 days) excluding delivery fees. I tried this route to see if we can have one weekly meal plan within our budget. You can decide whether delivery fees are included in your budget or not as they might vary depending on the store location.

Day One

I started with my homegrown local favorite store – JD Bakery Cafe. I ordered all-day breakfast longganisa, egg, and garlic rice at 134 pesos. I have some budget left so I added a small pack of garlic biscocho at 23 pesos only for my snacks. When I checked the basket, the delivery fee was 46 pesos so I only had 203 pesos for my first-day meal plan. Not bad for the first day, right?

Day Two

I was craving for palabok this time. I ordered Halo-Halo Jr and Palabok Jr Bundle Meal from Razon’s by Glenn Iloilo at 191 pesos only. The delivery this time is 38 pesos which amounted to 229 pesos on. The 29 pesos excess is very minimal. The meal plan was a success, I guess so.

Day Three

I was feeling the Korean drama vibe that day. So, I looked for a Korean store within Starts at P99. I found Samjang in Mandurriao. I ordered their cheesy tteokbokki at 163 pesos and bokkeumbap with K-pops at 119 pesos. The delivery fee was 46 pesos so I had 328 pesos. But, I got an 80 pesos off because there was promo that day for a 249 pesos minimum order. This left me 248 pesos in total! Amazing, is it not?

Day Four

After consuming several foods for the last three days, I wanted to give my tummy a healthy transition. I checked out my favorite healthy store, Healthy Kitchen Cafe. I ordered vegan teriyaki wings at 165 pesos for my brunch. I added single dip roti at 100 pesos for my snack later. The delivery fee was 38 pesos. The promo again was toggled so I saved 80 pesos. I paid 223 pesos instead of 303 pesos. Woooh! I am enjoying these promos!

Day Five

For my last day, I wanted to have a clean and light brunch. I checked out Salads and Wraps this time. I ordered chicken caesar panini at 125 pesos and banana fresh juice at 70 pesos. The delivery fee was 28 pesos only. I paid 223 pesos in total. That was a good pair for a healthy meal!

This was my 5-day meal plan using GrabFood Everyday Value Meals – starts at P99.

Having a budget of 200 pesos per day, I got the following plus 80 pesos OFF on some checkouts.

  • All-Day Breakfast Longganisa, Egg, and Garlic Rice – JD Bakery Cafe – 134
  • Garlic Biscocho – JD Bakery Cafe – 23
  • Halo-Halo Jr and Palabok Jr. Bundle Meal – Razon’s by Glenn -191
  • Cheesy Teokbokki – Samjang – 163
  • Bokkeumbap with K-pops – Samjang – 119
  • Vegan Teriyaki Wings – Healthy Kitchen Cafe – 165
  • Single Dip Roti – Healthy Kitchen Cafe – 100
  • Chicken Caesar Panini – Salads and Wraps – 125
  • Banana Juice – Salads and Wraps – 70

It allowed me to save time, energy, and money. I did not have to spend time and energy preparing my meal myself. With a few clicks away, I only have to wait for my food delivery. I would use the waiting time as my break time from work or to prepare my mind for work.
