The SM Foundation College Scholarship is now officially accepting applications for School Year 2026–2027, opening doors to higher education for financially deserving Filipino students across the country.
The online application period runs from February 1 to February 28, 2026, giving incoming college freshmen the chance to take the first step toward a brighter future.
Spearheaded by SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI), the social good arm of the SM Group, the scholarship program continues the vision of its founder, Henry Sy Sr., to make quality education accessible to hardworking and high-potential youth.
Since its launch in 1993, the program has supported thousands of scholars who have successfully completed their college education and gone on to build meaningful careers.
Designed to support students who show both academic excellence and financial need, the SM College Scholarship helps ease the burden of college expenses and allows scholars to focus on their studies.

In previous years, the scholarship has provided tuition assistance, monthly allowances, and opportunities for paid internships during academic breaks, along with access to enrichment and development programs that prepare scholars for life beyond the classroom.
The scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen nationwide, subject to eligibility requirements set by the foundation. While specific qualifications may vary each year, applicants are typically required to demonstrate strong academic performance, meet household income guidelines, and submit supporting documents such as school records and proof of income. Applicants are encouraged to carefully review the official guidelines before submitting their applications.
Beyond financial support, the SM College Scholarship has made a lasting impact by empowering young Filipinos to uplift their families and communities. Many former scholars credit the program for giving them the opportunity to pursue degrees in fields such as business, engineering, education, and the sciences—proving that access to education can truly transform lives.
Interested applicants may submit their applications online from February 1 to 28, 2026. For complete details, eligibility requirements, and application forms, visit www.sm-foundation.org.
