To give Ilonggos a closer look at the elegant gowns worn by Ms. Philippines Universe Rabiya Mateo, SM City Iloilo showcases this collection entitled, RABIYA: A Fashion Exhibit by Jun-G Candelario.
Located at the upper ground floor of the Northpoint (across Starbucks), the exhibit is the first of its kind and shoppers will have the opportunity to see the beautiful creations of the renowned designer made famous by Ms. Mateo during her journey in the competition that brought her the crown as Ms. Philippines Universe.
Rabiya Mateo, who hails from Iloilo, was celebrated as the winner of the inaugural Miss Universe Philippines pageant held at the Baguio Country Club last October 2020 from among 45 other candidates representing cities and provinces nationwide.
From there, Rabiya received the just-unveiled “Filipina” crown as the first-ever Miss Universe Philippines titlist under the new pageant organization.
Rabiya was born by domestic partnership to an Indian-American father and a Filipino mother. She attended Iloilo Doctors’ College as Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and graduated cum laude.
Shoppers can drop by, pose for a picture with the collection and get to personally see these elegant pieces, as they wish Rabiya the best as she competes for the upcoming Ms. Universe pageant.
