Among the businesses, food industry is taking its place back. One of the sprouting local food businesses in the city is The Happy Lemon Snack Bar having five branches.
The Happy Lemon Snack Bar started last September 13, 2020. “We started as a home based food delivery and our target market were homeowners within our village,” said Paul Kenith Sancho, co-owner of The Happy Lemon Snack Bar. They also offered free delivery. “We were using a Japanese Bike as our delivery service,” said Mr. Sancho.

Initially, The Happy Lemon Snack Bar started with just 5 variants of lemonade. After a month, the group decided to innovate. “The Happy Lemon Snack Bar brand name was just by accident and was decided over our me time conversation one evening,” shared Paul Kenith. Since there is already an international brand Happy Lemon, the group chose to name it The Happy Lemon Snack Bar instead.
The Happy Lemon Snack Bar was not only just to sell delicious and affordable food. It also wants to be part of the solution we all are facing today. “Our main goal is to provide jobs within our community especially since we started the business at the height of a pandemic,” explained Mr. Sancho. They envision themselves becoming one of the household names in the province and city of Iloilo because of their affordable and quality products.

I already tried The Happy Lemon Snack Bar’s menu and promisingly, they are all delicious without robbing your pocket. I loved their Beef Shawarma Burger, Shawarma Pizza, and Wraps. Their rice toppings are also savory. I loved the Kimchi Rice Bowl and Happy Basket. They infuse Filipino taste into their menu without any fancy trick. Just cooking it deliciously.
The Happy Lemon Snack Bar’s main branch is in Santa Barbara, Iloilo. They also have another branch in GT Park Pavia, GT Malls Ungka. Moreover, they opened the business for franchise. “Our franchise branches are in Jaro, Molo, and soon to open in Bacolod City,” said Paul.
